I am the writer and illustrator of I Need Chocolate Milk! and I Need Strawberry Milk! But more importantly, I am the proud mother of two very imaginative and lovable children, who constantly require (you guessed it) chocolate milk. I am the writer and illustrator of I Need Chocolate Milk! and I Need Strawberry Milk! But more importantly, I am the proud mother of two very imaginative and lovable children, who constantly require (you guessed it) chocolate milk. When I am not writing and drawing, I am also drinking chocolate milk with them. I was an Army Brat and married an Army Officer so have lived all over the world to include Germany, Kuwait, and the United States. I currently live with my husband and children in Phoenix, Arizona.

I use many different tools and mediums to create art but I am a life-long pencil artist, originally working in black & white and grayscale. Recently, I discovered color in Prismacolor and Caran D'ache colored pencils. I prefer paper with lots of texture and often work on watercolor paper, pastelmat, and Strathmore Bristol and toned papers.
